Member and co-operating states

Member States and Co-operating States

National meteorological services of ECMWF Member and Co-operating States are granted full access to ECMWF's products and services. To obtain access, please contact your computing representatives.

Members of the public that have a keen interest in meteorology may download WMO essential products, a range of free datasets from the ECMWF data server and view our free charts.

World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) members can download WMO essential products and a range of other datasets from the ECMWF data server subject to dataset-specific terms and conditions. WMO members can also access a subset of ECMWF charts free of charge and gain access to the entire catalogue of ECMWF forecast products with a non-commercial licence.

ECMWF may provide its real-time products to support research field experiments and verification comparison projects under specific terms. Cost recovery handling charges may apply.

Satellite data providers

ECMWF may supply real-time and archive products to satellite data providers in exchange for real-time satellite observations for use in its operational forecast system. National satellite agencies in Member States should contact Catalogue Contact Points first.

Commercial customers

Commercial organisations can gain access to ECMWF forecast products and charts by subscribing to a standard or maximum-charge commercial licence agreement.
