Member and Co-operating States are asked to appoint a 'Computing Representative', to improve the flow of information and facilitate various administrative transactions between ECMWF and countries that have access to ECMWF's computing services. Computing Representatives have access to their own portal where they can find additional information useful to fulfil their function.
The Computing Representatives' meetings provide a forum where views and experiences are exchanged between ECMWF and Member and Co-operating States. They are scheduled as required, typically every 12 to 18 months. Usually during these meetings, Computing Representatives give a presentation outlining the usage of ECMWF's computing services and recent developments in their country and in particular at their national meteorological service.
