Each Member State and Co-operating State is asked to appoint a 'Security Representative' as a contact point for information and computer security related matters.
ECMWF, usually on an annual basis, organises a meeting of Security Representatives. The general purpose of the Security Representatives' meetings is:
- to review the status of the information and technical security arrangements at ECMWF and in each Member State and Co-operating State, and to discuss planned developments
- to provide a private, trusted forum where views and experiences are exchanged between ECMWF and our Member States and Co-operating States
While covering a specific topic each year the focus of the meetings alternates between technical and management aspects of information and computer security.
