ECMWF at EGU General Assembly 2026 banner with blue EGU flags, showing dates 3–8 May 2026.

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly takes place in Vienna, Austria, and online from 3 to 8 May 2026, bringing together geoscientists from across the world to share research spanning the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU provides a key forum for collaboration, discussion, and the exchange of ideas.

At this year’s assembly, ECMWF staff will contribute to a wide range of sessions reflecting the breadth of our work – from advances in artificial intelligence for weather forecasting and high-performance computing, to flood prediction, hydrological modelling, and climate processes.

The full EGU programme is available online and details of the sessions we are involved in are listed below.
