ECMWF is taking part in this year’s Living Planet Symposium, 23 to 27 June, in Vienna (Austria) and online. The event is an opportunity to discuss our work with scientists from across the world. Our staff are participating in a broad range of sessions, covering topics such as the Aeolus and EarthCARE satellite missions, Earth observation for weather and climate, data and information services, machine learning in the sector, Copernicus, Destination Earth, and more.

We are also co-organising the 4th Destination Earth User eXchange with the European Space Agency (ESA) and EUMETSAT, with ESA acting as the host. The User eXchange includes sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Living Planet Symposium is held every three years, and the 2025 edition (LPS25) emphasises transitioning from ‘observation to climate action and sustainability for Earth’.

The event provides a forum to present and discuss the latest scientific findings and applications based on satellite data, and to review the contribution that data and technologies have made and could further make in addressing environmental and societal challenges.

ECMWF booth

The ECMWF booth can be found in the large European Space Agency exhibition area in the centre of the entrance hall, level 0.
