ECMWF is at the Annual Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU24) from 9 to 13 December in Washington DC, providing an opportunity to convene and collaborate with attendees from over 100 countries. We present progress towards a global km-scale flood forecasting system, and we look at the mechanisms through which mesoscale convective systems can affect the large-scale circulation. We are also co-convening/chairing three sessions on flood forecasting.
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), one of our partners in the EU Destination Earth initiative, will give an invited presentation on the Digital Twin for Climate Adaptation being delivered by ECMWF for the EU Destination Earth initiative.
