Summary:
Iain Russell leads the Foundational Software Services Team at ECMWF, developing software packages that form the foundation of much operational and research work. These include libraries such as ecCodes and MIR, and also complete end-user software packages such as Metview and ecFlow, supporting ECMWF's core activities. Our latest developments are centred around the new Earthkit ecosystem of Python packages for data analysis, processing and visualisation.
