| Abstract | Air-sea interaction is discussed in the context of a coupled ocean, ocean-waves, atmosphere model. The impact of breaking wind-waves on upper-ocean mixing and the consequences for mean SST and seasonal forecast skill of the coupled system are assessed. Benefits of using a coupled model in ENS from Day 0 are given as well. |
