Probabilities: 24hr total precipitation
Base Time: Fri 03 Oct 2025 12 UTC T+24 Valid time: Sat 04 Oct 2025 12 UTC (T+24)
Probabilities: 24h precipitation
The plot shows probability information derived from the ensemble forecast system (ENS), specifically the Probability of 24-h accumulated precipitation (rain and snow) exceeding 1 mm (colour shading in %).
The probabilities are based on the number of forecast members which meet the criteria (each member is assigned an equal probability of 1/50).
Detailed description of ENS probabilistic products can be found in ECMWF Forecast User Guide.
Forecast charts and data
We provide current forecasts, climate reanalyses and specific datasets. These are available via the web, point-to-point dissemination, data servers and broadcasting.

Researchers, WMO members, commercial users and satellite data providers can gain access to ECMWF forecast products under one of our various licence agreement types.
Serving meteorology
International collaboration is fundamental to the work of ECMWF, working with the EU and the meteorological community at large, including the World Meteorological Organization, space agencies, and scientists around the world.
Workshops and education
Education is a key element of our work at ECMWF, enabling our partners to get the most from ECMWF's services and develop an advanced understanding of forecasting.
October 6 – 9 | Training course: Use and interpretation of ECMWF products |
October 13 – 17 | Online training course: Introduction to ECMWF computing services (including MARS) |
October 27 – 31 | Training course: Machine learning for weather prediction |
November 5 – 7 | Digital Twin Co-Design Hackathon |
November 10 – 14 | Training course: A hands-on introduction to Numerical Weather Prediction Models: Understanding and Experimenting |
December 3 – 4 | CAMEO project final General Assembly |
18 December | AI Weather Quest: SON Awards Webinar |
April 13 – 17 | 5th ECMWF-ESA Machine Learning Workshop |

ECMWF workshops are open to the worldwide meteorological community, though some training is restricted to member states.
