On-Line Ordering - Finding data


 
 

This part is intended to help you identify and/or locate the specific products you are seeking . You don't need to be familiar with our archival system. The system will assist you to search easily for the data that interest you in our data archives.

Please Note : You can find links to this information on all our "On-Line" web pages. If you have any difficulty, take a moment to read the instructions. You may find them helpful!

If you know the Data Set you are interested in :

Please go to the whole archive catalogue (which contains all the available Data Sets) or the low price dataset list.

The system is designed to guide you through all the necessary steps: find and select the data that interest you and check their availability.

Follow the steps below:

  1. select a Data Set
  2. define a Period
  3. select the Times (for some data sets you also need to define the Steps )
  4. select the Parameters (for upper air data sets you also need to define the Levels )

If you have any difficulty, use the relevant step's Help Section. Take a moment to read the information and follow the instructions. If you need any further information or clarification, do not hesitate to contact us.

If you don't know exactly what you are looking for, we recommend the following:

  1. Use Data Finder to find the data set that interests you.
  2. Once you have found what you are interested in, visit the whole archive catalogue to define your orders.

Data finder is a very flexible and effective tool, which is designed to assist you to find the specific data you are looking for easily. There are three ways you can start your search:

  • Select one or more meteorological parameters
  • Select a period of time
  • Select a data source


Some examples of how to use Data Finder:

I am interested in some specific parameters but don't know exactly from which Data Sets they are available:

  1. visit Data Finder
  2. click on "Select one or more meteorological parameters" and select the parameters that interest you.
  3. click on "Select a data source "
  4. check which data sets include the parameters you are interested in

I am interested in some specific parameters for a specific period but I don't know exactly from which Data Sets they are available :

  1. visit Data Finder
  2. click on "Select one or more meteorological parameters" and select the parameters that interest you.
  3. click on "Select a period of time" and select the specific period you are interested in.
  4. click on "Select a data source".
  5. check which data sets include the parameters you are interested in for the period you have selected.

I am interested in a specific Data Set but I don't know for which period it is available :

  1. visit Data Finder
  2. click on "Select a data source" and select the Data Set that interests you.
  3. click on "Select a period of time"
  4. check the available period.
