Catalogue of ECMWF Real-Time Products ©

The Catalogue outlines the real-time meteorological and oceanographic products available from the ECWMF forecasting system for use by service providers and end users.
Readers are expected to have a background knowledge of atmospheric or oceanographic sciences and are encouraged to consult the Meteorological Bulletin M3.2 User Guide to ECMWF Products.
Other forms of meteorological and oceanographic services and products are available via the National Meteorological Services of ECMWF's Member States:

New

Medium range

• Product Set I: Atmospheric Model high resolution 10-day forecast (HRES)
  Single prediction that uses observations, prior information about the Earth-system, and ECMWF's highest-resolution model.
• Product Set II: Ocean Wave Model high resolution 10-day forecast (WAM HRES & LAW)
  Version of the WAM model further developed in house, coupled to the atmospheric model (WAM HRES) or run as a standalone model in the Limited-area Wave (LAW).
• Product Set III - Atmospheric Model low resolution 15-day forecast (ENS)
  Ensemble of low-resolution forecasts providing an estimate of the reliability of a single forecast.
• Product Set IV - Ocean Wave Model low resolution 15-day forecast (WAM ENS)
  Ensemble of low-resolution forecasts providing an estimate of the reliability of a single forecast.

Extended range (monthly)

• Product Set VI - Atmospheric Model low resolution 32-day forecast (ENS extended)
  Twice a week, ENS is extended up to 32 days. ENS extended comprises ensembles of individual forecasts and post-processed products of average conditions (e.g. weekly averages) and the associated uncertainty.

Long range

• Product Set V - Seasonal low resolution 7-month forecast (SEAS)
  SEAS comprises ensembles of individual low-resolution ensemble forecasts coupled to an ocean model and post-processed products of average conditions (e.g. monthly averages) up to 7 months ahead, and the associated uncertainty.
• Product Set VIII - Multi-model seasonal forecast (EUROSIP)
  Average of the ensemble mean anomalies from contributing models.
