Seminar on Diagnosis of Forecasting and Data Assimilation Systems, 7 - 10 September 2009


Every year ECMWF organizes a seminar with a pedagogical objective, whereby a selected topic related to numerical weather prediction is highlighted. The subject of the seminar this year is “Seminar on Diagnosis of Forecasting and Data Assimilation Systems”. The seminar will take place from 7 to 10 September 2009.

Participants are requested to arrive at ECMWF between 09:30 and 10:00 on Monday 7 September for registration. It is envisaged that the seminar will close at 15:45 on Thursday 10 September.

Contact and Registration

The seminar is open to the ECMWF Member States and Co-operating States. There is no registration fee for member states and ECMWF has no financial support available for participants .

The EMS has again made available a Young Scientist Travel Award (YSTA) to support the participation of young scientists of the ECMWF Annual Seminar. Applications from non-Member States can be accepted if places are available following the deadline for Member State applications. For non-Member States a registration fee is charged. Further information: seminars@ecmwf.int
