The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is an international organisation situated in Reading, United Kingdom, (about 50 km/35 miles west of London). Staff in the171staff posts come from the Member States and the Co-operating States*. Some consultants from countries which are not Member or Co-operating States are also employed by ECMWF. The working languages are English, French and German: fluency in one of these and a good knowledge of at least one other is required of those employed.
