Staff at ECMWF and vacant positions

The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is an international organisation situated in Reading, United Kingdom, (about 50 km/35 miles west of London). Staff in the163 staff posts come from the Member States and the Co-operating States*. Some consultants from countries which are not Member or Co-operating States are also employed by ECMWF. The working languages are English, French and German: fluency in one of these and a good knowledge of at least one other is required of those employed.

* The ECMWF Member States are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The ECMWF Co-operating States are Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
